All About Me
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on October 28, 2010
I was born and raised in Germany. I moved to the US for college where I studied anthropology. I made many connections through the university and was offered an internship the summer of my junior year. I eagerly accepted and learned so much through the internship. After graduation, I intended to move back to Germany, but I was offered a full time position through my former internship. I was hired on as a junior anthropologist and assisted a man who had been working in the field for almost 40 years. It was an amazing opportunity. I am now in grad school for primate anthropology. I hope to move back to Europe one day.
My Favorite Job

My favorite job I had growing up was working at a dog kennel. I would wake up early in the morning and drive to the kennel. I walked in and all the dogs woke up for the morning. They would start barking, and I had to walk down the row and open all the doggie doors so they could go outside. While the dogs were outside, I cleaned all the inside cages and then gave the dogs a bowl of food and some fresh water. Once the cleaning and feeding was done, I took the dogs on a walk or let them play out in a grassy yard. The best part was when people came to pick up the dogs. They were so excited to go home!

Most pet dogs are so attached to their owners that they seldom want to be left out, whenever the owners are at home. They like to be included in every activity that is going on in the house. If trained properly, they behave themselves well enough to please their owners. They act as the perfect guard when the owners go out and can be great companions for children. Apart from taking them to the vets periodically, the owners should take great care of these pets be it feeding, grooming or providing them a nice sleeping place. Some owners are so fond of their pets that they allow the dogs to sleep along with them on the bed. But in the case of big dogs especially, they will realize that the dogs are occupying a lot of space. They may find it difficult to change this habit. But if the owners seriously want to change this habit, then all they need to do is to buy a memory foam dog bed, which is available in the market. These beds are specially designed to make your dog feel comfortable and once you train them to sleep on them, they will happily sleep on their own bed.
What’s for Dinner

I enjoy making all sorts of foods for dinner. I make anything from Mexican and Asian to Italian cuisine. I love making burritos and fajitas with peppers, broccoli, and onions. I also like to make pasta dishes. Tonight I am planning to make fettuccine alfredo with broccoli, garlic, and mushrooms… yummy! I also make a salad with almost every dinner. I usually use spinach instead of lettuce. That way, if I don’t finish the whole bag of spinach before it is about to go bad, I can just cook it all for one meal. Sometimes I make an extra dinner and freeze it so I can just bake it when I am not in the mood to cook.
