History: Connecting the Past and Present
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on July 30, 2010
History is, at its core, just a bunch of stories. Only these stories happen to be true. I love history because when I go to class, it is basically just an hour-long story time. It is easy for me to sit through a history class and be captivated the whole time. While some find history boring, I find it to be quite the opposite. I find the truths in history to be astounding. History is often stranger and more fantastic than any fiction one could write. I like history for another, more self-centered reason History tests are basically strict memorization. This plays into my natural inclination for memorizing facts and dates.
Gorillamask.com: My Addiction

One website I find myself on multiple times daily is Gorillamask.com. “Why and what is a Gorillamask?”, I’m sure you’re asking yourself. A gorilla mask is a decidedly not G-rated act, which fits perfectly for the site’s layout. Gorillamask is your basic link site that provides visitors with the standard Internet fare of viral videos, hot chicks, and stupid time-wasting games. What I love about Gorillamask is that it seems it caters almost exclusively to me. It provides me with the funny stuff, the crazy stuff, and all the other stuff that helps me get through a long, boring day. Also, Gorillamask has running themes in which the webmaster posts a new link that has to do with a certain theme. Midnight Madness, my personal favorite, provides a slightly off-slant, and sometimes mind-bending video, site, or even sometimes just a picture.

Why The Name Killer Whale is Appropriate
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on July 23, 2010
Hands down, the coolest animal in the world is the Orca, or killer whale. Most people who have seen Free Willy or have been to Sea World probably think that the Orca is majestic, kind beast and that the name ‘killer whale’ is a misnomer. This could not be farther from the truth. Killer whales are quick and agile in the water, but are also very smart. Killer whales have been known to kill and devour not only dolphins, but also Great White Sharks. Killer whales are not only sea-hunters though, as they can also come up onto land to snag unsuspecting seals from their beach homes. Orcas are the perfect combination of smarts, strength, and cunning. It is this reason why I find them to be, as some would say, ‘killer.’

If I could do anything over again, it would have to be my dating habits as a young teen. I’m certainly not trying to brag or anything, but guys really sorta flirt with me all the time. And it’s pretty much just for my body and looks – they never got to know me for my brain. Unfortunately, I didn’t understand that, so I dated all those jerks without knowing that they weren’t relationship material at all. All those guys wanted was sex, and I wasn’t ready to do that. Thankfully, I started to understand their motives eventually and I began to date better guys.
