Today was no different than any other day.  I woke up and went through the same monotonous morning ritual of showering, brushing my teeth, breakfast, and then off to work.  Once I arrived to work, I was immediately hit with a problem with our distributor.  It took several hours to sort through the issue and in the end, the solution was very easy.  Once my day wrapped up at the work place, I met up with some friends for a round of golf and grabbed a bite to eat.  Now back at home, I look forward to watching television and look forward to the same tomorrow.

My family came over to the United States from Europe in the 1950’s to start a new, better life. My grandparents came over with their children, my parents, right after world war II. Back then many Europeans immigrated to the United States in search of jobs. My family decided to reside in the Northwest Indiana area because of the tremendous work opportunities the steel mills were offering. With only a suitcase in hand and a couple of familiar faces, my family was able to build a life quickly. They relied on no one but themselves to make a new home for their children. Although it took hard work and dedication they made a permanent home. I am extremely thankful to have such a loving close nit family.

My boyfriend and I enjoy living in the great city of Chicago. There is always so much to do and for free which is wonderful. In the summer a park in the city, Grant Park, will have different concerts you can attend for free every Thursday. Also in other parks in the city the public can come catch a free viewing of a movie every Tuesday. The scenery is amazing and beautiful throughout. After work on weekdays my boyfriend and I will go exploring for new fun things to do in Chicago such as walking over to the different parks.
